In His strength, I can do EVERYTHING

Yesterday I went to our state's capital. It was interesting to see how the State Representatives act when they are supposed to be paying attention to the people in charge- it's like a classroom go chaotic. But it was a fun day, and oh, we have one BEAUTIFUL capital here! (=

Tomorrow, I am going to be continuing my Bible Study, so that definitely makes me excited!! The girls get pretty excited too, and that just makes me even more excited! I have a friend from this summer, who is doing a Bible Study with some girls too, so it's cool that even though we are 11 hours apart, God is having us do similar things!

God puts people in our lives for a time- like giving me a summer with some of the greatest people on the earth! They helped me grow, and learn so many different things, and because of the summer that I spent with them, I am a different person and for them, I am truly grateful!!

Have you ever read 2 Samuel 22? If not, I encourage you to do so TODAY! It is so good! We serve a great and mighty God indeed. He is more than enough! I can't begin to understand his love for me. He loves me so much, and I fail him all the time. Today I failed him by not having joy- I just was grumpy today. I need to have joy- because He calls me to- and I can obey because He LOVES me!! I don't understand, but I guess that that is where FAITH comes in! So I am thankful for His never- ending, always giving, never- changing LOVE in my life! Something I find really interesting is that no matter what I do- or don't do- God won't love me anymore or any less, and that my BEST to him, is like dirty rags. Well! Then, the ONLY way- is HIS way- because then I can honor him. But isn't it interesting, in my own strength- I can do nothing, but in HIS strength and power, I can do EVERYTHING!

Life

Life is flying by and wow..it's already been three weeks since I last was on here!!

School is great! I love this year! I have just the right amount of classes, and each one of them is teaching me something valuable-
Bible- we are studying the Gospel of Mark and Ecclesiastes.
Chemistry- we are doing tons of labs, and it's just a fun class (=
Geometry- I'm learning patience- it's a big class, and I get confused easily...so patience is the KEY!
Government- I'm learning about the ruling of our country...that's why it's called Government!!
English/Literature- I'm doing a writing class for English, and that is really fun, my writing skills are hopefully improving- I like that class a lot!! Literature is from long ago- so that's always interesting to understand!
Speech/ Drama- I love drama!! And I'm getting credit for being in the class!!
Choir- Well, singing is one of my FAVORITE things..all set there!
Health/ Gym- Well staying fit/ learning how to be fit!!

I think that's all my classes this year!
And...
tomorrow I am starting a Bible Study for some of the younger girls in my school!! I'm so excited to do it with them! I can't wait for it to come! I hope that we all learn together! We are going to be studying the book- THE GIRL IN THE MIRROR. I already did it- the book was actually a gift from my older brother, and now I am going to share it with others, God works through people without them even knowing- cool, huh?

What else is going on...
Soccer!! We lost our first game, but hopefully that made us stronger and now we can move on!.

Youth Group started back up, and it is so exciting to get involved! I am enthusiastic about it! Hopefully it won't wear off as the year goes on! We are planning on taking a mission's trip later in the year- don't worry, I'll keep you posted! And some of us girls are going to start us a website/ blog for girls about purity, and we are just going to get out there and do things, so I am EXCITED!!

Until next time...
"grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ..."

School started today! It was just like we had a long vacation, it doesn't seem like much has changed! It wasn't a very hard day, just basically listening to different teachers tell us different things and rules, and changes, and just lots of things like that!

I was wondering what to "fear" God means. I think that maybe I know. - Having a deep respect for HIM and a love that means I will obey HIM. In Proverbs 31, it talks about how, "Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who FEARS the LORD, she shall be praised." So that got me thinking about what it meant to fear God. Another verse that I found recently was Psalm 90:17, which talks about the beauty of the Lord coming upon us. I don't know about you, but I want to be beautiful to the LORD!

Well, I had better get going! I have school tomorrow! (Weird to be back!)
