My mom was getting ready to give my dad a shot.
Dad said, "Pick A or B" to me.
I said, "B"
Daddy said, "Okay it's not for me."
I said, "Who's it for?"
Daddy said, "It's for you!"

These are the moments that make life worth living.

  1. What a wonderful daughter you are. No wonder your father loves you so much and calls you his sunshine. Stay strong and keep your faith. Your mom needs you and you all need each other. My heart goes out to you and your family each and every day. Give your mom a hug for me, I'm sure she could really use one. My prayers continue. Love to all.

  2. It's great how you are able to find humor in tough situations and appreciate what you have right now. I admire that and thanks for sharing. We will continue to pray for all of you.

    With love,

  3. Hey Allie,
Thanks for taking the time to blog and keep us updated on how your dad is doing. I've been thinking about you alot these days, and I've been praying for you. You are an encouragement to alot of people, and I would guess that God is (already) and will use your life in a mighty way, because you are letting Him into different areas of your life. We saw a huge change when we were out in Oct. and I know others do to. I say that to give God the credit, for He is showing you how much He loves you, and your life is reflecting that. We are so proud of you!
    Love, Kristie:)

  4. LOL!
It took me a minute, but I finally got the joke! (What can I say? I am slow....) I am so glad that God has a wonderful sense of humor and that He gave that gift to people like your Dad - what a blessing!

  5. Alley I love the last comment you made because that is so true. You do have to remember all of the little things.
I remember seeing a comment last year that read "Life is just the Journey not the destination". But all of those little things make the journey a little bit more fun.
I am thinking and praying for you and all of your family . I do thank each one of your family members - all 12 of you for the tremendous out look on life and the amazing testimony you have been to our family.
    Thankyou

  6. I love your blog!

    Keep up the good work!

I found your dad's story and his blog in the Wayne Independent a couple of months ago, and I have been reading his blog everyday.
